Safety lancets are sterile, single-use products for capillary puncture. The needle is automatically retracted after the puncture, helping prevent needlestick injuries. Safety lancets are available for various puncture depths (1.25mm and 2.25mm) and in various needle gauges (most commonly 21G, 23G and 28G).
